DONATE

To our friends that have supported us over the years, thank you is simply not enough to express our appreciation. Your generosity and good-will has been a source of strength for our entire family.

Jim and I realize that we do not have a monopoly on grief. Good people like you may have been subject to wrong doings and trials and tribulations of your own. Your outgoing support validates not only to us, but to the universe that humanity will overcome, goodwill defeats evil, and love will prevail in the end.

Love,
Valen & Jim

Record of Giving

Proceeds collected in past years went to the following:

  • 2008 - Memorial Bench

Our first year we dedicated a Memorial Bench to Dane in Huntington Beach, in the Farguhar Park area (corner of Main & Lake street). We encourage you to go visit and experience his bench in his memory.
  • 2009 - Keeping his spirit Alive

This year we worked with local charities here in Huntington Beach California where we currently reside. We donated to a cause called “Mike’s Head”; Mike is a local Huntington Beach teenager suffering from brain cancer. We also worked with American Red Cross, running a blood drive in Dane’s honor, “keeping his spirit alive”.
  • 2010 - Crime Stoppers

We worked with Crime Stoppers of San Diego to find the truth about our son Dane. They were vital helping us find the predator that killed our son and to get him off the streets for good. Crime Stoppers is based on the principle that for every crime committed, someone has information to solve that crime. Crime Stoppers provides a critical link between the community and law enforcement. As a result, the year 2010 we donated all our proceeds to Crime Stoppers for an amazing job they do each and every day.
  • 2011 - RAINN

We donated our proceeds of 2011 to RAINN, (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network). It is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization and was named one of "America's 100 Best Charities" by Worth magazine. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.
  • 2012 - The Dane Williams Memorial Foundation

We completed this website and created the D.W.M.F. non-profit organization. We also donated to the 1736 Family Crisis Center to help support the amazing work they do in their 24/7 family support center.
  • 2013 - Surf Festival

Proceeds were donated to 1736 Family Crisis Center and Surf the Nations.
  • 2014/2015 - Public Service Announcement

We completed a public service announcement called "Just Talk About It" in conjunction with the 1736 Family Crisis Center about the prevalence of date rape drugs and the need to talk openly about it.
